I hate this shit so much. The timing was awful (for the team at least), and it makes it look like a money grab without him saying a word, not to mention how bad it already was with him coming up on the backloaded end of his deal.

Well they actually do. They can restructure two players (Calvin and Quin) and cut Harris for the same cap room. Lions have alot of leverage.

They have almost no leverage. Even if the re-structure Calvin and Quin what leverage do they have with Suh? He gets his $12M and then becomes a free agent which will probably benifit him more or he gets a HUGE payday from the Lions this year. Either way he is the winner.

They know all about Suh (on and off the field), they know he's been paid once already, they know his weaknesses, they know they can trade him, they know they don't need him for cap space. Plus the DT market sets it. And now an inexperienced agent. Plenty of leverage.

They did represent Robinson Cano this offseason and got him 200 million+. They are also associated with CAA who represents a large protion of the NFL. Their is some experience there

I`m not sure if restructuring Calvin would be a good idea. He has a cap number of 20.5 million in 15`, 24 million in 16`, and 21.4 million in 17`

Even restructuring Stafford would be tough. He is due 17.7 in 15`, 22.5 in 16`, and 22 million in 17`
