Suh signs with Jay Z

I`m not sure if restructuring Calvin would be a good idea. He has a cap number of 20.5 million in 15`, 24 million in 16`, and 21.4 million in 17`

Even restructuring Stafford would be tough. He is due 17.7 in 15`, 22.5 in 16`, and 22 million in 17`

Restructuring is the name of the game. But restructuring 3 high priced players like we have is a killer. We're screwed.

They are due to pay 51 million for 3 players next season, that is just insane. Even if they extend Suh that number may drop to say 45 million, then will continue to rise every following year.

Think of this, the 12 teams that were in the playoffs pay thier top 3 players between 24(49ers) and 38 million(GB). When you have 3 players being paid that much you can`t have the depth or supporting role players.

The only way that will / could work is if you draft brilliantly or get really lucky. Look at the 49ers. They had 13 picks in last years draft and have 11 this year including 2 in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd. This allows a team to move around in the draft, take some risks and build quality depth. The Lions should try and move down this year to stockpile more picks.
