You have no clue how hard they were trying to re-sign him. Suh gets a ton of blame if he doesn't come back either....get it straight. For all we know, he's been playing the Lions like a fiddle the whole time.

I agree. It is Mayhew's\Lewand's fault for the cap. I won't dispute that, but without those restructures, you would have never seen any worthy FA's come to Detroit. Also, blame the old pay scale for this mess too and while you're at it, blame that fkn clown Millen too. Not being able to put a respectable football team out there the whole time he was GM absolutely killed this team because we were drafting so high for so many years. Put the blame on Mayhew, but he isn't the only reason for this gongshow. There's a laundry list of people to point the fingers at.

Not one lions fan can deny the change in this roster from millens. "Haven't seen much of a change?" That's why you're an idiot. The 0-16 roster probably had 4 guys that should even be on an nfl roster. Much much much different than current lions. Unfortunately lions fans are impatient and they want a Tom Brady/bill bellichek kind of revival. Well I hate to break it to everyone but that kind of combo just NEVER happens. I mean look at aaron rodgers. Great qb, great records, he's 30 and now played in one super bowl. That means every other year he has failed. We are making the playoffs which is good, and I agree a playoff win must come next. But it's never a good idea to scrap things just because it isn't perfect. You most likely wind up like Jacksonville and Oakland than New England or Green Bay.

The fact of the matter is just because we wait forever for a super bowl doesn't mean that if and when we do build a team worthy of being there that it should have to be a dominant team for the ages like the pats.
