Tarik enters transfer portal

Have you considered the possibility there are other factors and the young man just isn't happy?

My post was in response to a combination of Vic's post and post #12. He may have been unhappy at Michigan for some reason. If entering the portal prior to the bowl game is interpreted as a slight to the team, then why would he have reason to slight the coaches/team? During the time he was playing at Michigan he had very little impact on the field. It is not like they put him on the bench after he recovered from his injuries. He got, I think, significant playing time after his recovery from both injuries. I assume his scholarship was maintained during the time he was injured. So, he continued to progress towards his degree at one of the top universities in the world. I am not sure what he would be unhappy about to the point he wanted to slight the team/coaches. I wish him the best of luck wherever he lands, except if it is at a school that plays Michigan. Then good luck except when he plays Michigan.

It's impossible to know, but clearly he thinks it's time to go a different way. I don't see that as a slight to the team or coaches. Staying and not wanting to be at Michigan would be more of a slight. If you aren't into it, you aren't going to give your best effort. Might as well move on. Best for everyone.

OSU is receiving letters of intent today from what might be the greatest wide receiver class of all time. Seriously. No need to worry about Tarik becoming a Buckeye.

THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!?!? Wow! So you're telling me that they have no more cap space for that position then?

Such a tired, old excuse.

Well when that program has proven time and again that they value winning over integrity what other conclusion should I come to? It's only a matter of time before something else comes up. I'm sure they'll dodge that the same way they have every other time and you and your cousin will still load up the wood-paneled station wagon and head to Columbus to cheer on your beloved Buckeyes every Saturday. It's pretty pathetic how an entire fan base is willing to ignore the things that you do in order to keep beating Michigan but are unwilling to acknowledge that you are operating under a different set of rules than nearly every other Big Ten school, save MSU and PSU.

there's no salary cap in NCAA football...you must be thinking of the NFL

You are correct that OSU does not have a limit to how much they are allowed to pay their players. However I would assume that they would operate like any other business and limit themselves once they feel they've spent enough in a particular area of their company to meet their goals. I just assumed he meant that they would rather use that money on "loans" to their top DEs or maybe tattoos and Escalades for their QB, RB and others rather than salaries for additional receivers. After all, there's only so many balls to be caught.

Extra benefits don't come from the school...they come from outside sources. Tattoos come from tattoo parlors, $100 handshakes come from boosters or fans, $100K loans come from seedy auto workers, etc...

You should follow the advice of the guy that does the Michigan Podcast series. His thing is that if someone (i.e. Harbaugh) has evidence of OSU cheating, or MSU or PSU for that matter, make the claim and have the balls to put it out there, or shut up.

And, by the way, it's hilarious that a Kentucky person is making cousin jokes!

They're boosters that are heavily involved in the program. The coaches know that it's going on and there are protocols in place specifically to insulate them and give them plausible deniability. If you think that they aren't aware or in some cases directly involved in putting players in touch with a booster to get money, a "summer job" that pays 10x the normal rate or someone that has a brand new car for sale for $1 you're naive.

I don't need to uncover anything new to make the case that their program is corrupt. It's already been proven time and again. In the past decade you've had a coach who lied repeatedly to the NCAA, the administration at the school do everything in their power to keep him, a coach that not only lied about his knowledge of one of his assistants beating his wife but also went with a former great coach of yours to persuade her not to say anything, then just mere months ago your star player is found to have taken a "loan" from a "family friend" that he conveniently only met the summer before he started playing for the school... Hwo also happens to be a licensed NFL agent.

That's not even getting into the fact that your star QB admitted that he hadn't stepped foot on campus and only takes online classes. Next you're going to tell me that there's no conceivable way that it's not him actually doing the work for those classes.

And the word is "Kentuckian". And just because that's where I live doesn't mean that's where I am from. You don't have to look far to see the kind of trashy people that support OSU or to come to the conclusion that they are below average intelligence.

You actually do need to make the case because in your earlier post, you specifically implied their incoming wide receiver class was being paid to commit to the program. If that's true, and if there is evidence of that, Michigan Podcast guy thinks Harbaugh should 100% call them out on it and lodge a formal complaint with the NCAA. I agree with him.

Yep, no need to make anything up

MoMo C

Tattgate

beating wives

Justin Fields online classes

D-End receiving money, self reported right before 2 easiest games on the schedule

There is nothing to present. It's already there. They have been dirty, are dirty, and will be dirty again, especially when the NCAA backs them up and suspends players for only the easy games.

Salty tears.

You asked for a case to be made. I showed that it already was made.

another troll. I bet mom is proud that you grew up to be a troll, someone that gets on the internet to go to message boards to attempt to irritate people. Congratulations!

The reason Michigan doesn't beat OSU is because they remain convinced they are better, so they don't actually get better. Last year Higdon guaranteed victory in Columbus, which is just silly. Post-game, Winovich explained the rout away by calling it a mirage. This year Khaleke comes up with this gem:

https://wolverineswire.usatoday.com...ll-ohio-state-buckeyes-talent-facilities-gap/

Meanwhile, these knuckleheads finish their careers without ever knowing what a win against OSU feels like. That's not unusual for 21st century Wolverines, obviously, but the never ending chatter fuels the Buckeyes for next year and the year after and so on and so forth.

Potentially winding up at OSU. It wasn?t me who made that statement. I merely pointed out there was no way that would happen. That?s when you Michigan fans went down the tired, old path.

I believe it was said as a joke.

No one seriously thinks Black is going to go to Ohio State
