2-14.
6-10.
10-6.
4-12.
7-6.

Can he win the last three games and lock the division up? From the lack of discipline and no accountability for poor performance what will it take to keep his job?

If we finish
7-9...I say fire him and the staff.
8-8...I say fire him after starting 6-3.
9-7...Miss the playoffs to 9-6-1 Packers...(See 8-8).
9-7...Wins division...(Probably keeps his job after 3-4 last seven games)
10-6..Wins division..(keeps His job even though he loses in round one by 20).

It is just maddening how many games we have given away this year.
I am just so frustrated it has come to basically wining out..

You're right, this is it for him I think. His Lion head coaching job hangs on these last 3 games.

Hope we win em all, make the playoffs and STILL fire him and Gunther ( I like Linehan and hope he stays, but is unlikely to happen if Schwartz is let go).

My personal opinion? The only way they should even consider bringing him back is if the Lions win a playoff game

My prediction? This spineless ownership will probably bring him back regardless of what happens (probably scapegoating a coordinator in the process)

The division was handed to the Lions on a silver platter, yet they've managed to fuck that up.

If Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers are healthy, we're busy talking 2014 draft right now.

I agree with you and everything you said...

I don't care if they bring Schwartz back. I'd be fine with it. But I would like to see what another D coordinator could do for us. I imagine a few good ones would want the job.

I like schwartz I think he is going to be a good coach one day. He is young and still has a lot to learn and that learning process has cost us games. When he was hired I liked that he had scouting in his background. At worst I figured when he is finally canned we would have a talented team that can actually compete in this league. That has happened. I wasn't sure if he could win the big game and so far it looks like he can't. I wouldn't mind him staying along with Linehan but get a new D cord or even have him take it over and let Linehan run the O. I see this team as the same as SF and KC, lots of talent but missing that something to get them over the hump, is it a new coach? We may find out next year.

Wont happen because of opposing philosophies but I wouldn't mind Rex Ryan if he gets canned. I'v wanted a top D for so long and thought we were on our way when Suh was drafted but this D gives up too many big plays. Maybe our new coach will bring him in.

We have always waited too long to fire head coaches with the exception of Marinelli. And if the 08 Lions had won a game, he would have got another year.

Gym Shorts sucks. He's never going to be a good coach. And Detroit is where coaches come to suck, get fired and then never do Jack for the rest of their career. Not as a head coach anyway.

Scouting in his background? I didn't know they had Youtube back then.

gunthers D sucks for sure....but im even more frustrated with linehans O. Everyone says how talented we are.....yet we play soooo inconsistent on offense. I still don't know if its more on linehan or more on Stafford.....but the combination of linehan/Stafford has proven to be average at best. I would love to see what this offense could do with a new offensive mind like the bears got in tressman.

Linehan needs his ovaries to drop, but he moves the ball and puts up points. Were a finesse offense, if they make a change they gotta bring in someone that fits the pieces we already have. Don't make the same mistake that was made when we brought in boss ross with his power run game when you have an elusive freak.

I'm hoping we get new coaches who decide to get a more balance offense. Passing 45 times a game does not work for us.

When you have a 45 point offense scoring 28 it's a big problem. Bring in someone who understands the strength, pass first. But also understand that Bell can be a dominant back in the run game. And lastly, that knows defense and how to teach which includes discipline.

I understand Staff is a gunslinger. Look at the KC game today. Now Charles made the big plays but it all happened because the QB was accurate. Get it into your playmakers hands and let them make plays. Fuck.

Our offense is like the tigers are. A couple of super stars filled with bums. We need more depth and another playmaker. Look at our recieving leaders, cal, durham, bush, bell....2nd leading reciever has 400 yards..and number 3 and 4 are rb's.....that will not cut it in consistency.

A mix of Mayhew and bad luck are to blame for the lack of offensive skill depth. Early picks were spent on Best, Titus, Broyles, and Derrick Williams....all of them are either off the team or seriously injured.

Mayhew hits on those picks and this offense is quite different.

Did LKP hack Grandy's account?
