The Last Stand of Jim Schwartz

I'd be fine with promoting Washburn actually. But an entire new staff would be my first option. starting with xanders gm, del rio hc.

And Washburn leaves with his boy. Both of them. Oline screwed, Dline screwed.

LOL. Xanders didn't do shit. That was Mayhew.

Del Rio. That is the worst choice in the history of coaches. Schwart>>>>>Del Rio

Xanders built Denver into a perennial winner. Mayhew has built Detroit into a staple pile of steaming hot crap.

Yes Del rio is awful....which is why he was being targeted for one of the biggest jobs in the NCAA....compared to Schwartz....who no one wants....not even us.

try again...

He looked like Fired coach walking going across the field...
Oh well I waited 40+ years for a superbowl run.
( I remembered as far back as 1969 and 1970)
What's another year in a lion's fan's life..

We got to the NFC title game once... Maybe we will some day again..

He cam get canned in the morning for all i care. This offseason is the only chance that another coach is gonna be motivated to coach this team. If schwartz comes back, they'll quit on him before the halfway mark and be looking for other teams by the end of next season. The talent is there for the time being but schwartz can't do shit with it. Gruden knows what it would take to get then over the hump, hell he sounded like he was begging for the job for most of the game.

he really did lol. he was doing little jabs the entire game at stupid decisions the coaches were making. Then he almost punched the head of officiating guy for the refs not calling the armbar lol. im not exactly sure how gruden would fit here.....but I know the help hed bring is much better than Gunther and linehan.

gruden called it though....that missed armbar was probably the nail in the coffin for our season.

and how do they miss that armbar bro? and then completely make up phantom PI calls against us? wtf ...

Alright I'm broken. Fire them and all and fuck Stafford

Yeah is frustrating as hell guys and it hurts every time they break our hearts.. In the 1970's we lost 17 of 20 games to the Vikings.. I am sure we have other decades of futility with the other clubs for the younger guys on here but I knew we were going to lose every time we played the just about...

The kid lines up for a 61 yard FG... Yup we all knew what was going to happen...
:(

Gunther was a blitz-happy D-Co coming into Detroit (in KC, prior to the Herm Edwards era).

I don't know what happened, maybe Schwartz is the one pulling the strings.

When Gym Shorts was at Tenn. They blitzed very little so I suspect it's him making the call. Even with a poor secondary you have to blitz more often.

I've never been one to blame officiating for a loss but, that was a blatant PI in a game where defensive play is controlling the game. A touchdown would've been huge there. If it wasn't a Lions game it would be all over espn today

I was in section 134.....corner EZ right in front of that play. No excuse for that call being missed. NONE.

League should be ashamed of it's officiating in this game. I wish they would make each refs "grade" public after each game. There needs to be more accountability with calls like that.

If I'm not mistaken, same guy made the PI call on Delmas/Carey.....but the arm bar was ok?

Pathetic
