Yes everybody knows both these things. Spike Lee made a movie School Daze anout the first thing and everybody knows people of every race who are not attracted to people of their own race, but prefer some other race.

Exactly - cats and dogs are actually separated a few steps higher in their scientific classifications as they come from different Families, but if the dog "feels" like a cat, who are we to say otherwise?

Let's imagine the Alpha says "hey I have an idea. Are we all getting a little bored hanging out here on the balcony doing nothing except napping and playing with the toys and eating the food they bought us? Let's con our lovable but stupid male human into taking us for a walk by going and grabbing our leashes and bringing them to him. As a reward, maybe we'll think about crapping and pissing outside instead of doing it in the house."

There was a scientific study done on animal behavior that determined modern domesticated cats most likely believe humans are very large, very stupid... cats.

Their behavioral instincts in reacting with us are exactly the same as when they interact with other cats, which is 100% different than when they interact with any other animal.

So why not? Dogs may very well think we are their pets, and they are training us for better behavior.

And maybe... it's true?

Exactly. What would you think about yourself if someone followed you around picking up your shit and carrying it around for blocks until they found a trash can? Not to mention, feed them, open doors, throw balls and sticks, etc, etc. You'd think you were the boss.
