The official 2018 nfl draft thread

Ragnow gets labeled a Center but he only started 18 games there and he also started 15 games at Guard.

Frank Ragnow played 2,246 snaps the last three years at Arkansas. He didn't allow a single sack.

In three years, Bob Quinn has completely overhauled Detroit's offensive line, drafting Decker, Glasgow and Ragnow and signing Wagner and Lang.
With a new position coach this year, expectations will be sky high for the unit.

Many Lions fans are skeptical about taking Ragnow at 20. But with rumors that the Bengals were taking him at 21 and the Pats very interested at 23 trust Quinn on this one. He’s an immediate upgrade on the O-line which was a clear need in this draft.

Decker-Lang-Glasgow-Ragnow-Wagner.
Most of Ragnow guard starts were at RG and Lang played LG at a high level in GB.

Ragnow, a center from Arkansas, replaces Travis Swanson, a center from Arkansas. At the combine, Ragnow talked about how Swanson has been a mentor.

3 reasons why the Detroit Lions picked Frank Ragnow in the first round.
It was a surprising pick, but there’s plenty of justification for it.

Hopefully better than the last center from Arkansas we took the was suppose to fix the position.

A lot of edge rushers projected 2nd rd grades still on the board.

Landry
Green
Key
Hubbard
Ejiofor
Carter
Then there’s a nice 3-4 de like hand out there.

I hope that doesnt cause teams to panic and cause a run on RB's .....I'd love to have a Sony , Chub or Jones II available tomorrow . Obvi want Guice but no way lol

They have addressed the O-line non-stop in the last few years with Decker, Wagner, and Lang. It's time to start working on other shit. Centers are rarely "game changing" and you can find guys of his ilk in later rounds. You don't draft a center in the 1st round unless they are absolute beasts.

Sorry, just my opinion, but this is a horrible pick. So many other directions this team needs to fix.

Wyoming Wildman lol !!!! Is he from there I wasn't listening ?
