The Official Iowa vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

Agree to disagree. No matter how bad the pass, Chesson got in the spot where it hit him in the shoulder. Once that happens, catch needs to be made.
It doesn't matter. Playoffs are out. Let's beat IU and get ready to play someone like Utah or Oklahoma in a bowl

I would obviously love to be wrong, but even as good as this team had been, I have not at any point pictured Michigan in the playoffs. I feel that they're still a few years away from being truly elite.

Even if we made it, Bama would annihilate us.

I don't care if Bama beat Michigan by 900 in the playoffs. That would mean Michigan made and won the Big Ten, which they haven't done in a decade.

Well keep the decade plus tally running cause we aren't winning it this year. Again.

I'll never figure out why in the holy fuck Isaac got one carry all night.

I'd be pissed if I was Isaac and I would take my talents elsewhere next year. He would play right away for a Power 5 conference team who wanted to actually use him.

We knew we had one problem on defense......the linebackers. Teams are exploiting this now. Time to get the kids some experience for next year because Mike McCray had his ass handed to him alllll night.

No way he could have managed 2.3 ypc while adding absolutely motherfucking nothing to the passing game.

We could have got Bush some PT, but you know legit targeting. Totally saw a punter somersault coming.

I got a good laugh out of the somersault, but that got ruined with the stupid targeting call.

We could if the coaches didn't shit on themselves in tough situations. For all of the things the players did wrong, they were never put, playwise, into a better situation. When the going gets tough, it's seems as though Harbaugh shortens the depth chart and only certain guys are playing (the ones who arent having a good game). It's fucking ridiculous. Where the fuck was Evans, where was Isaac, where we're the ten different tight ends that like catching the ball? Not playing is where they were and that is called being scared(mistakes). Same thing happened against State. Tight game shorter depth chart. When you shorten the depth chart, you shorten your options. Just saying.

Like I said earlier in this thread, we took Butt off the field for a critical 3rd and 9. To say that is idiotic would be a compliment.

Didn't read that. I'm getting drunk. Also, what the hell ever happened to the 3 and 4 TE sets? And why on God's green earth do we also shorten our playbook in tight situations? I'm soo mad right now.

I'm just fucking fed up with the constant disappointment. I'll never stop rooting for Michigan, but I'm at the point where I'm just giving up on national title expectations. I got one in my lifetime. I'll count myself lucky for that.

Bad showing tonight. Iowa is just a tough place for us to play. I am very curious why Isaac didn't get more looks. Speight just wasn't sharp tonight, and the blocking up front was not up to the standard they should be. Way too many plays Iowa defenders were getting off their blocks and making plays. Defense played "ok" but still got gashed by the run game a bit too much.

This doesn't really change much though as far as Michigan's chances at the big prizes. We still had to beat OSU regardless in all likelihood.

Iowa did a nice job on special teams as well tonight with a lot of solid punts and they got some fortunate bounces too. I don't know why Smith decided to just stop and try and juke around a defender on the safety though. You never ever ever stop running if you're in the endzone as a tailback. Just fall forward and don't give up the 2 points. That really hurt.

In case this game wasn't Hoke enough for you, we only put 10 guys on the field for their last second FG. Neat.
