Here's the BTN video of the "staking".

Hoke has issued public apology.

It was tent stake used as motivating tool
Are we mathematically eliminated yet, from the any chance at the B1G championship (not that there's a realistic one, but is there a mathematic one)?
There might be a technical chance if Michigan won-out, MSU "lost-out" (is that a term?) and OSU lost everything other than the MSU game.
Nothing but pussys. I didn't read it, but the fact that UM and Hoke cant make a stand, and would apologize for motivating the team is sad. Who cares if MSU is upset, no real harm done, and MSU cemented the fact that they own UM, by making the say they are sorry.Hoke has issued public apology.

Does that mean we're eliminated against the Buckeyes should they beat Illinois next Saturday?
I was hoping you would respond, because, you know, like, you're good at math, and shit.
Cross-division conference games count, right?
They have 3 wins, MSU has 4, Mich has 1. Michigan has 4 games left, so if we're only talking about what theoretically has a non-zero chance of happening, Michigan could get to 5. So MSU can't win any more, so OSU would have to beat them. That gets OSU to 4. I guess we'd have the head-to-head tiebreaker if they beat Illinois and got to 5 wins, but I don't know the order of the tiebreakers and this non-zero chance we're talking about isn't enough for me to go look it up. It's eleven games that have to go a certain way...maybe 10 of eleven need to go a certain way, and there's other potantial things that doesn't account for, like Rutgers winning out and beating us on the tiebreaker. I feel pretty comfortable saying it's worse than 1 in a million.
This is as bad as Karl Rove on election night 2012 saying "there was still a chance!"
Well...this is the moral and ethical conundrum I - and we all, to a degree, face.
Assuming Ohio State beats Illinois...when Ohio State plays Michigan State in two weeks, we have to look into our souls, and decide if we can root for Ohio State...because a Sparty victory would mathematically eliminate us against them; yet an Ohio State victory would keep us alive for the championship, million or more to one odds against us it may be...
...and I just don't know if I'm in an emotional place in my life where I would be prepared to make that choice...
I was mowing my lawn Friday and I spotted a rock I didn't want to hit. I threw it, blindly, over my fence and off into the woods. There's almost no chance that anyone would be out there. But if you feel like you need to consider rooting for Ohio State, I guess I should feel bad about throwing that rock.
I'm such a jerk.
Hoke should apologize to the UM fanbase, not Dantonio. It's just plain stupid that they need to use some stake as some sort of motivational tool for this game. What a stupid thing to do!! Then he apologizes? Screw that.
Dantonio is a tool for saying that he felt disrespected, too. What a goof...always disrespected. Dude has a serious problem is it's so easy for him to feel disrespected.
I tend to doubt we scored at the cry end
They beat the point spread with that
