There's a picture on MGoBlog of Bolden holding a spike in the air (like a railroad spike). People are facing him. It looks like he's trying to do some sort of motivational thing. People trying to make something out of nothing.

I understand how planting a flag is an insult. You're claiming their turf as your own. But this? Someone needs to explain the insult to me. You can roll your eyes at the use of motivational props, but I don't see the disrespect Dantonio is claiming.

Edit: correction, Cook is claiming. But since he says it was the motivation for that last score, it seems Dantonio agrees.

I don't have a problem with a team with the lead scoring a touchdown late in the game. It is a game and the object is to score points. I also don't have a problem with trash talk, as long as it is between players and doesn't go towards insulting family members or things of that nature. I do have problems with a team that is winning making late hits to the head on the QB and other dirty play of that nature. But as I said before, that appears to be Sparty football.

Whoever keeps saying that Michigan needs to win the 3 games to get to a bowl game is crazy. These guys need to stay home and regroup for next year they don't deserve a bowl game period.

I don't know, but I find it far more plausible that it's a motivation thing than a disrespect thing. Hoke should have been able to clear it up with the press. Instead, he's going to let people's imaginations run with an image of a spear.

I said sideline because of the picture...could be wrong. Sporting news said it was in the Spartan helmet at midfield. That would be different. But I can't believe they could do that in the center of the field and nobody got a picture that shows it.

I I think people have a hard time understanding how bad this team is. this team is not good. Its not a good team that is playing bad, it's a not good team that is not playing well. I am pretty sure I was one of those people until tonight. this university should be embarrassed
