I love how they're stuck with Chris Ash:

Not only was Ash extended after the 2017 season, his buyout should he be fired after the 2018 campaign would cost $9.8 million, per NJ.com. According to that story, Ash and his agent wisely had a stipulation in his original deal that he automatically would receive an extension if the NCAA levied recruiting sanctions against Rutgers, which it did because of violations committed by the previous coaching regime.
