As long as it was a clean catch without any hand signals like timeout or fair catch it?s on the punting team. Perfectly legal IMO.

I don't like it. What would have happened if one of the other players realized he didn't call it when he was just standing there and blew him up with a huge hit? My guess, he would have been flagged.

The targeting rule makes zero sense. It's not targeting when the smu guy leads with the helmet and knocks our guy out of the game. It is targeting when Hudson turns to lead with the shoulder. That call is an embarrassment to the game of football.
