The Officical MSU vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

People on r/CFB claim that Michigan fans are obnoxious because we always act like the sky is falling. Anyone who's been watching this program knows that, no matter how well we're playing, it's only a matter of time before the other shoe drops, and we end up being right more often than not. Can't wait to shit the bed against PSU and OSU, too.

What a fucking shit show. Sparty fans are going to be talking shit like they did something. Absolutely inexplicable officiating again.

I missed the first half but it appears Michigan shit the bed. You are up 10 and 16 and blow those leads. The play calling is desperate. UM has ran the ball well all year and today in the rain they decide to throw 45 times. This is another coaching loss just at the next 2-3 will be as well.

The program as a whole is a disgrace. Harbaugh has no fire, he's there for the money and the easy job where he thinks he's safe.

Very much congrats to MSU I don't want that to get lost in all the chaos here. They played outstanding and easily could have quit when they were down 30-14. They didn't, and fought tooth and nail and converted every time they needed to have a big play.

As for Michigan, others are saying it but there is a problem when everybody KNOWS this will happen and are just waiting for it. Harbaugh unfortunately cannot be gone soon enough. The team takes on the mentality of their coach and that was never more personified than this game today.

One team choked, and the other fought for the win.

Final margin: 4. Points taken away by officials: 4. Minimum.

The no call on the 4th down pass was bad, but that wasn't the game. Poor play calling and execution cost way more than 4 points. They kicked 4 field goals today, how many points did UM leave because of bad play calling or poor execution.

No PI call on 4th down. No OPI on a 15 yard pass they convert. Multiple missed holding calls on Hutchinson.

There is absolutely no excuse for overturning the strip sack TD. Not only did no part of the QB's body not touch the ground, the ball was loose before any part of his body was even close to doing so and it sure as shit wasn't conclusive that he was down and it was ruled a fumble on the field.

That doesn't guarantee a win. How do you figure they even get the TD. Maybe they fumble. Or throw a pic 6. Uncalled penalties just make us think we got screwed..

Here is how I think Michigan should manage JJ going forward. Bring him in when he?s not going to fumble, and when he?s going to fumble, don?t bring him in.

I hope the ones who have been calling for JJ to replace Cade will shut up now.

The argument will be transitioned to "If you'd played McCarthy more to begin with, he would've been more ready." You can't win against people obsessed with the backup QB.

Ummm... Because it was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown?

I know that nobody expected this team to be 7-1 at this point so the expectations have certainly shifted. It's very frustrating that they lost to a team that they should have beat. Again. I suppose we should keep it in perspective but in all likelihood the fans will be calling for Jim's head when the season is over. The only thing that could change that is a win over OSU and that ain't happening.

And maybe they get the ball back and run for a 90 yard TD.

There's a hell of a big difference between "It was definitely a touchdown" and "Maybe they break a 90 yard run". Now you're arguing against your initial point.

The fact that that?s not in the realm of possibility is grounds for firing. When was the last time MSU out recruited Michigan? Why can Mel Fucking Tucker come in and be 2-0 against Michigan and Harbaugh gets a goddamn pass. He?s failing as a coach. Period. End of conversation. And I was rooting for that motherfucker to be the guy
