The Unofficial Official Michigan vs VaTech thread

Junior is going to be missed. denard better improve because he won't be there for him. Any other receiver and we don't get those two TDs.

That was supposed to be caught the end

Not drunk
IPhone typing

Fro m what I have looked at not a pretty game but at least we got some tds

ah that part of the trophy is just the top of it. that's why it's so small.

Monster [/color]]there's going to be a lot of questions about that non-called td.
The point of the football hit the ground. What's there to talk about?

they didnt even call that though....they called that he didnt have possession throughout the catch lol. Which was kinda baffling. I coulda seen that he caught it out of bounds or the ball hit the ground....but to make the call they did was what made it controversial imo.

I'll have to go back and see. In the meantime, it's off to bed.

How long before someone accuses the refs of giving UM the game b/c of UM's unexpected season/they didn't think Va Tech deserved to win?

doesn't there need to be possession gained first THEN a knee or foot tap down?...idk do elbows count? lol because i at least know that he didn't get a foot down after he gained possession of the football with two hands to secure it..

The stutter step/false start is mentioned in other places
But it usn't like Gibbons changed his style

his elbow hit in bounds...but at that point in time i felt he didnt have full possesion. I dont think he completed the catch until he was out of bounds. Just my opinion.

but to answer your question...if he had the ball and the elbow hits....it should have been a TD.

Just ordered the shirt and hat for me and my dad! GO BLUE!!!!! POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!

It was a terrible game and the BCS looked bad, but I will say this. U of M deserved to win that game, they didn't make the mistakes and the questionable decisions. Va. Tech got hosed at the end, but they in no way deserved to win. You cannot make the decisions and mistakes they did and expect to win.

Michigan made some great plays on defense and did just enough on offense. A win is a win.

In hindsight, you're right Johnny 2X2. BCS blundered on this one. But I'm still smiling.

we got so lucky. I hate winning a game like that on a national stage, but as poster said above, it is still beautiful.

here comes the haterade from all directions
