Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Devin is a better passer than Drob. IMO....Its not even close. Drob runs the O better. I wouldn't be surprised to see Drob in a Joshua Cribbs position next year for the UM offense.

Sure you're entitled to your opinion but you're stating it as fact when in reality it's based on nothing more than his recruiting profile. So far in games Gardner has looked anything but impressive.

When did I stat anything as Fact. I have said multiple times that it is my opinion. Obviously its not Brady's or Al's opinion, or we would be having a different discussion. The coaches see these players everyday, and what they say goes, because that is their job. I believe in this coaching staff, and as fans we either stand behind them or not root for this team. I will always choose to root for UM, and as long as Denard is the QB, I will accept the fact the team may be "Denarded"

If you're going to keep throwing the ball deep then get denard out of there. I seriously think he couldn't complete a deep pass even if there was no coverage. Have short plays like slants and curls.

And if a runningback would step up, we wouldn't need denard to pass much. There's been plenty of teams who have had success just running the ball. So its not all on denard

The running backs averaged 5.2 yards/carry on saturday, but were only used 6 times after the opening drive. A RB is not going to step up unless he's given a chance to.

I support the coaches. I want them to succeed. I've liked them since they were hired. That does not mean I'm just going to sit quietly when I see things that i disagree with. That is what this msg board is for.

Rbs ran 10 times for 44yrds. And one run was for 26yrds. Without that we ran 9 times for 18yrds.

Am I allowed to take out the negative yardage runs to make my stats look better?

I don't know, you guys. The coaches have it rough whatever they do. I, for one, am not simply going to dismiss putting Gardner in a much more prominent role in the offense as ridiculous. Some have a point about how poor he's looked at times. But I think a lot of that is a lack of game experience combined with coming in for a play here and there. After a couple consecutive drives/games you'll start to see him eliminating the mental errors. Unfortunately for us, we don't have that kind of time anymore.

But I think at this point it's pretty clear that Denard just doesn't have the ability to do certain things you NEED from your quarterback to win big games consistently. It's frustrating because he's the best athlete on the field at all times, which can make you forget about the bad.

I think Denard gives you the best chance to win if you're playing a game tomorrow. But I also think there's a possibility that Devin will give you the better chance by the time The Game comes around if he has more time under his belt. Of course, starting Gardner could also be a disaster and is definitely the riskiest decision you can make, thus why I don't envy the coaches' job at all right now. Other important questions worth asking: would giving Gardner a series here or there really help him at all? Would it hurt his confidence? Would it hurt the team?
