I don't mind pitchers throwing at hitters. If they allow the hitters to crowd the plate as they see fit, then pitching inside should not be a problem. IMO.

Crowding the plate or not, will you still not mind if say Cabrera or Fielder got drilled on the hand and something broke?
 
It definitely made me like Zim more. He must have genuinely been angry to charge a 30 year old.

Its not really that. Some hitters will crowd the plate and keep crowding because they know if a pitcher goes inside, most likely he gets warned and then tossed (hitters want to be able to reach 2 feet outside). They play with the system. Its unfair to the pitchers. A pitcher should have part of the that plate too. Or else they'll get smashed on a regular basis.

I know if I was a pitcher and saw a hitter basically hover the plate, I'd go inside too.
