McCann, 27, had his best offensive season last year, hitting .253 with a .415 slugging percentage and a .733 OPS. In the second half of the season, he hit .291, getting on base at a .345 clip with a .414 slugging percentage.
He produced a career-high in homers (13) and RBIs (49), with a 1.4 WAR according to Baseball Reference.
For his career, he's a .247 hitter with a .681 OPS.
He finished sixth in the American League throwing out 18 base stealers. His 29.6 percent caught stealing percentage ranked eighth.
Four other players remain unsigned: shortstop Jose Iglesias, third baseman Nicholas Castellanos; and relievers Alex Wilson and Shane Greene.
Players and teams formally exchange salary figures this week. If they can't agree on a compromise, an arbitrator will hear both arguments and resolve the case.
Friday is the deadline for both teams and players to submit salary numbers. According to estimates done annually by MLBTradeRumors.com, Iglesias could get awarded as much as $5.6 million, Castellanos $7.6 million, Greene $1.7 million and Wilson $2.1 million.
No Tigers player has gone before an arbitrator since 2001.
