Game Notes

We're starting to see the Tigers regress back to their level of play before the most recent successful home stand. Detroit has dropped their past three, including Monday's 5-1 decision to open this series. And so the focus turns to Sanchez, who has lost six of his past eight starts. And the focus turns to the Tigers' offense, which is beginning to fall silent. In the past three games, offensive tent poles Miguel Cabrera and Nick Castellanos have just one single between them.

Stayed up too late last night only to see them crap all over themselves, late for work as a result. Can't do that again, will probably watch the first 3-4 innings tonight then i'm going to bed. Not worth staying up too late for another crappy horseshit offensive and defensive performance. Sanchez will prolly get lit up anyway. This team pisses me off with their on again off again offense, should be used to it by now after all these years but somehow not. i'll get all the boo's and rant posts out of the way now. boooooo, what a terrible inning, tigers threaten but do not score, Sanchez sucks. Hey look Kza Ton K'd again. WTF was that, C,mon guys make him throw strikes please! I can't believe that, that's unreal, OMG why can't this team ever win in CA..ugggg whatever i'm outta here etc etc etc.. there won't have to post at all later now, hot standing!

These west coast games are difficult for me to stay up for as well.
I will do the game links later tonight early morning when the alarm goes off or when I got to get up in the middle of the night to take an old man piss.

lol, I hear ya KC, I often wake up 2-3 times a night also although not always because I gotta pee. I'll have to decide if I check to see if they won or not so I won't be able to get back to sleep if they didn't or just wait till morning. Hopefully i'll be able to wait till morning. Saturday still brings back no joy, was away, checked on the phone just in time to see victor tie it up 3-3 was like yeah!! bitches! then two hours later saw they lost 12-3 I was like WTF how the hell!! holey bat shet balls you have got to be shitting me tigers! i yi yi. I wish they finally figure out how to consistently not put too much pressure on themselves. I am convinced their main issue is that they get into these modes where they start pressing too much trying to force the issue and it takes way to long for them to get out of it.

I feel they are pressing when you see them swinging at slow stuff that drops to their ankles and they keep chasing one after the other. Even with runner(s) on base which usually leads to a ground out or gidp which once again makes me swear at the tv!! Pitchers usually can tell, so why throw a strike when they know most of the team is pressing/chasing.

Exzactly and it's not all of them that go back and forth doing this, just about half which is half too many..JD, iggy, Nick, McCann, kza ton, Miggy even at times all do this, some more than others, then some just can't ever lay off the breaking balls away regardless of the count like they aren't going up with any sorta approach at all. It's fustrating. I mean last night JD gets a steady diet of breaking balls away and chased just about every damn one of them even in an at bat where he gets brushed back on an 0-2 when everybody and their stinkin cousin knows what pitch comes next, lay off, let the next one go, nope swing away and k again..I'm pretty sure I almost threw some shit after that one but had to refrain as to not wake the kids. Lol

Strike zone looks a little big to me, thought the first pitch to Kinsler, JD and the 3-1 to victor were all balls, thought it was goofy last night also.

Tigers take early lead with a solo bomb from Miggy 1-0 Sanchez will give it right back and then some most likely..

Why did rich Dubee have Sanchez change his windup anyway? He should be allowed to go back to the more pronounced twist, hitters probebly have a harder time picking up the ball from that more pronounced twist..who's the long man now? Ryan, Greene back up yet? Sanchez won't be around long tonight it's like batting practice with this guy these days

Iggy needs to stop upper cutting his swing..level it off hotdog!

And now that they are down 4 offense will go back into thier over aggressive press shell as 5 of 9 start swinging away at anything close trying to force it...same shit we've seen a billions time over .that's all for me

Out

Sanchez is such a bum..man he has lost it..

Well, win or lose at least staying up wasn't a total loss. 1 run game.
