As a team, the Detroit Tigers are hitting .205.
Half of their 14 hitters have batting averages under .200.
They continue to rank near the bottom in strikeouts, walks and chase rate.

Miguel Cabrera has been moved down in the order. Javy Baez is now also moved down with his 4-for 33. Only 4 or 5 players out of 9 every night are hitting above .200. Meadows w/the 5th highest BA is on the IL.
If you remove Baddoo's 2-game stats, no one is hitting above .300

Detroit Tigers: Matt Manning placed on 15-day IL, Tyler Nevin called up.

I do not agree with the call that awarded Vlad Jr. home on that single. That's a delayed dead ball obstruction because no direct play was being made on the runner. He should have been called out, IMO, because he stopped his advance to home. Based on the nature of the obstruction, I don't think it would have affected the play at home. 3BU Bacchus got that call wrong, and apparently Hinch didn't know what to argue.

Miggy turns on a pitch and legs out a double. Pulled for pinch runner. #610 which is number 14 on the list for doubles . Hank Aaron is next at 623.

The fact Miggy barely made it to 2nd, after hitting down the line to the wall and rolls around for a bit, is amazingly funny.

Do we ever move runners over? Haas looked like he was trying to hit a hr.

Closer? emergency meeting of the tigers brass, just remembered they need a closer, hadnt needed one so far this season.
