Tigers @ Dodgers Game #20 : April 30th

5-1 Tigers now.. single by JC and a double by Barnhart.

And this shitty Ump gives every damn pitch to a dodger pitcher that is a inch off the plate and has not given them to Tiger pitchers . It?s been happening all night.

Nice to see Candy with a couple hits. And Baez and Meadows have been nice signs so far.

I dunno?I saw a Tiger pitcher get a call on a close pitch that the visual strike zone graphic showed was a ball?anyhoo?

Who said he can't play defense? I think it was me but nice grab.

Not the ones I saw. Remember I only got probably 6 total innings. Luckily it was the ones with
Runs ! Either K zone was off or The Ump was because he was calling strikes that were out of k zone.

Baseball is a funny game.

So?a good night.

Evil traitor Stafford?s childhood friend sets a Dodger K record (his 4th K of the game; has he ever had a start with less?).

Oh, my bad; Stafford isn?t the traitor; it?s the posters to this board we?re happy to see Stafford win an NFL championship this year - even though it will have zero result regarding the fate of the lions for several years if it has any at all; and also, fucking the number 20 pic versus the number 32 pick in the NFL draft is pretty much about the same as arguing about beer pong.

Anyways, Kershaw ? whom I just learned tonight that the Tigers passed on way back in the draft that he was in ? That ain?t my bad, and that?s almost as dumb as trading the number 20 draft for the number 32 draft or maybe trading the number 32 giraffe for the number 20 draft or whatever the fuck.

So Kershaw gets a dodger record, and the Tigers get a win against a tough team on the road.

I ain?t gonna lie, it?s a good night.

Tomorrow I?m gonna get up and go to my boxing gym, then I?m going to get some rays out by the pool side, then I?m going to go out and do some business well I listen to the robber game of the series and you get a rare opportunity to listen and route for the Tigers on some kind of media.

My early Christmas wish is not mentioning Stafford again, and never twice.

My early Christmas wish is not mentioning Stafford again, and never twice.

Merry Christmas, I will try not to going forward.

I think my dear wife was somewhat surprised by the positive ferver to which I reacted to the runs the Tigers scored against the Dodgers in the late innings.

I did the calculations and since the last inter league match, it would have happened about two one hundredths of one percent of the time.

Anyways, one more day, and after tomorrow, normalcy will be restored to the realm.

Until the next time.

Maybe the 2022 WS?

It's funny because you're the only one still going on about it. Really ready to die defending that hill that nobody is charging.

Funnier still because there IS a significant difference between 20 and 32. It would've changed the entire outcome of the draft for the Lions.

But hey, rah rah Stafford! I'm sure people will treasure their Detroit Rams T-shirts for years to come.

DEEPER DISCUSSIONS.
Totally Tigers

Several days ago, Miguel Cabrera revealed that he?d like to stay in baseball, preferably with the Tigers, when he retires from playing. After this year, he has 1 more year on his contract before Detroit buys out his option for both 2024 and 2025.

Under the Hinch era, Miggy has noticeably changed his demeanor which has not gone unnoticed throughout the baseball world. He has taken on a more visible role in mentoring the younger players and coaching others on their hitting.
He has become more approachable and a positive influence in the clubhouse.
A far cry from earlier years in which he reluctantly participated in bonding with his teammates.

Cabrera also took on a bigger role in partnering with the Front Office as they looked to sign free agents. Miggy had conversations with almost everyone of interest to discuss what it was like playing for the Tigers and why they should want to come. Several players admitted that Miggy?s ?sell? convinced them to sign with Detroit.

After next year, where should Cabrera go within the organization if the Tigers are interested in keeping him? Should he stay at the MLB level and work with the Front Office or as an assistant hitting coach as he learns his new role?

Or would he best serve the organization within the minor league system and new Player Development department as a hitting instructor for either AAA or as a regional one who works with several different levels?

Today?s blog addresses this dilemma and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with other by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!

For this one blog only, you?ve got 6 sentences max to share your thoughts.
Of course, you can respond to as many other readers as you want.

TT will supply the ammunition. One thought-provoking question. Several options provided. One hard choice to be selected. One vote.
Ready?

What job would be the best fit for Miguel Cabrera?

1. Working for the Front Office.

2. A regional hitting coach in the minors.

3. As an assistant hitting coach in Detroit.

Hitting coach for sure. Especially considering the language barrier he can help lift with Latin players. Awesome to see he would even consider it and loves the game that much.

He could do several roles. He could even become a scout of some sort. But like the late and great Mr. Kaline and Willie Horton, front office would seem suitable.

I think he should be a roaming hitting instructor. He could do it in Detroit and spend time with his family here, and spend the rest of the time in Florida, with his other family.
