Crisp stole about 50 bases last season. Could you imagine that speed on base in front of Miggy and VMart?JimRice said:Why not just leave Raburn in left full time. He's a much better player than Crisp. Crisp is not the answer at lead off any more than Austin Jackson is the answer at lead off.
Crisp is a better than Dirks, though. Maybe he is taking his spot.

True, but he's got a higher career BA/OPS/SLG than Jackson, strikes out half as much as Jackson and steals a lot more bases. He'd be a definite upgrade as a leadoff hitter. DY is a little bit better hitter, but Crisp is better in the field and on the bases. Jackson could be moved to #9 and you'd have a could speedy guys in a row. Young could be traded for a 2B/3B.JimRice said:kingofdetroit57 said:Crisp stole about 50 bases last season. Could you imagine that speed on base in front of Miggy and VMart?
If only he could steal first base.
Spockmaster said:if i remember correctly, he's got decent gap power. that plus his speed could work really well in comerica for doubles and triples. small sample size, but his OPS over 135ab's in comerica is .845.
