Last 3 Years Away

Raburn .285 BAVG .343 OBP .478 SLG .821 OPS

M. Izturis .293 BAVG .357 OBP .434 SLG .791 OPS

Young .284 BAVG .319 OBP .441 SLG .760 OPS

Boesch .247 BAVG .300 OBP .390 SLG .690 OPS

Jackson .253 BAVG .313 OBP .370 SLG .683 OPS

Crisp .254 BAVG .302 OBP .367 SLG .669 OPS

I am still trying to find a positive in acquiring Crisp. If DET gets M. Izturis, there is the leadoff hitter. Certainly better than Crisp, who has a career .317 OBP as a leadoff hitter.

MLB POS AVG over last 3 years

2B = .727 OPS
3B = .735 OPS
LF = .759 OPS
CF = .738 OPS
RF = .786 OPS

Crisp would be below average offensively. He wants to play CF. He probably would not like a platoon in LF with Young, or being a late inning defensive replacement.

id far prefer izturis. i probably wouldnt be super upset if we got crisp, but i dont see the point in getting him either. plus i think we wont b/c of his preference to play CF.

It's good to try and improve the bench but if they want Crisp as a reg in the OF, well, I would think they could do much better.
