Rays 4 - Tigers 0: Power proves the difference.
E-Rod pitched pretty well and the Tigers had some opportunities, but the Rays were up to the task.

Half of the teams who played or will play today lost or will lose.

So the Tigers are tied with all of them, second place, one game out.

Rays: 4 runs, 6 hits.
Tigers: 0 runs, 6 hits.

Rays hit two HR and 2-3 RISP.
Tigers 0-4 RISP.

What of the plate discipline Harris is preaching? Was there any?

Didn't watch or listen.

If you don't get on the "Tigers Stink" band wagon right now there won't be room later.

LET?S KICK THIS OFF!
Totally Tigers

The Detroit Tigers played their first game of the 2023 season. Did you watch? Did you listen?

Today?s blog is focused on your thoughts and reactions.

Please tell us (in 3 sentences or less) which 1 moment was most significant to you from the game. It can be a play, a player, a comment, a stat, pattern or something you witnessed.

To make this even more fun, for those of you who prefer to lurk rather than comment, if your selection matches someone who has posted your choice, click their ?like? link. But as Sean Connery in The Hunt for Red October said, just one ping, please.

Keep checking back during the day to cast your vote if you don?t see it the first time.

The Tigers have acquired infielder Dillon Paulson from the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations.

Paulson is not on the 40-man roster, so it won't require another move.

Paulson, 25, hit .224 with four home runs, 18 walks and 13 strikeouts in 24 games in the minor leagues last season. He tore his ACL in 2021.

I just don't watch baseball anymore until the playoffs. Considering I know like 2 names on our roster im assuming we're going to suck? So...are we terrible?

Not contenders at least until 2025. Have to build the team from the ground floor up in all phases.
Considering it was a mess for decades with no minor league player development and draft strategy, I hope I am around to see it along with another Lions Championship. I was 10 in 1957. fuck.....

The Tigers announced that infielder Tyler Nevin is beginning a rehab assignment today. Acquired from the Orioles in an offseason trade, Nevin suffered an oblique strain three weeks ago and was placed on the injured list yesterday.
He hit just .197/.299/.261 with the O?s last year but had a strong .291/.382/.479 line in Triple-A.
Prior to the injury, he was in the mix for a third base job alongside Nick Maton and Ryan Kreidler, and the club also recently acquired Zach McKinstry.
Nevin still has an option and could potentially stick in Triple-A Toledo when his rehab is done. With his IL placement backdated to March 27, he?ll be eligible to be reinstated on April 6.
