Tigers' funk extended with 'bad trip' vs. Twins.
Barnhart: 'We've just got to play cleaner. Just have to play better all around.'

Twins 7 - Tigers 1: Ugly baseball.
The defense was absolutely atrocious and the Tigers stranded approximately 50 baserunners to make it five straight losses.

Detroit Tigers committed three errors in the fifth inning as the Twins pull away and sweep the Tigers.

An interesting stat about the Tigers this season. In the 4th and 5th innings this season, the Tigers have scored just one run. The 6th, 7th and 8th innings? 10, 11, 12 runs.

Just when you thought the Detroit Tigers couldn't have played worse than they did on Tuesday night...... they did. 4 errors in today's game. They are now known as the Etroit Tigers because they have no D.

Of note were Javy Baez's angry glares at his teammates when several of the errors were committed. Ironically, the only ones playing acceptable defense on the team are the new guys - Baez and Torkelson.

After being swept by the Twins, they face 1 of MLB's best teams, the Dodgers. Don't be surprised if A. J. Hinch makes some moves before tomorrow's game. Best guess? The outfield and 1/both Castros. Harold made 2 errors today and was on the receiving end of Baez's angry glare.

Totally Tigers

I agree with you. Tigers suck in cold weather. Dummies need to have a retractable roof.

That?s not really going to change anything, the weather will still be the same for the opponent as it will be for the Tigers. What needs to be done is there has to be a way for the weather to be made good for the Tigers but bad for the opponent.

A roof could help in November If the tigers ever get back to the post season, and early in April when every player is wearing a skintight
Suit

Maybe.

I still like the idea of making the weather different for the two teams.

Weather will be good where the Tigers are going.

But it will be the same for both teams.

That?s a problem.

Far worse shape in what context? It could have been far worse than it has been to this point in time, or things could get far worse as the season goes on?

I think they meant that the season could get worse as the season goes on.
Too many starters and relievers are on the 10 day and a couple on the 60 day injured list. I don't see them getting better until around the All-Star break when hopefully by then everyone will be back, unless there are more pitchers and position players who get added to this mash unit of already injured players.
