Tigers vs. angels Game Preview.

The only left-handed bat in the Tigers lineup against lefty C.J. Wilson is Prince Fielder, and he’s 3-for-5 against Wilson. Ryan Raburn, 5-for-10 off Wilson, starts in left field. Brennan Boesch, 3-for-6 with two doubles against Wilson, sits in favor of Avisail Garcia. Jhonny Peralta, 2-for-21 off Wilson if you include the postseason, gets the night off. Danny Worth gets his first Tigers start since August 5.

Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland said he would pencil Ryan Raburn in left field or at DH tonight, depending on how his right quad felt.
Apparently, it felt pretty good.
Raburn will make his first start in left field for the Tigers since July 29. The start comes a day after Raburn made a pinch-hit appearance against the Angels on Friday night.
As expected, Avisail Garcia was named the starting right fielder in an effort to stack Saturday night's lineup heavy with right-handed hitters with C.J. Wilson slated to start.
Of the nine batters in tonight's lineup, Prince Fielder is the lone left-handed hitter as Gerald Laird spells Alex Avila behind the plate and Omar Infante returns to second base after a day off.
Jhonny Peralta gets a day off and Danny Worth will make his debut at shortstop this season for Detroit. It's his first start at short for the Tigers since Aug. 3, 2010.
