Fk it. I'm watching tonight, cheering and if we lose I won't be upset. No need to start taking pills to calm me down, I'm not 40 anymore ;-).

Tigers lost another player to the 'Tigers in the heavens' today.
Sad news: Former Tigers outfielder Champ Summers has died at 66 from kidney cancer.

I was upset last night. Last nights game was the season more or less, had our foot on someones throat, but could not grind down with the heel.

If we lose tonight it will be because of last night, not tonight, and a position we never should have been in.

I'll be happy if we win, but the bad taste left by last night will probably not be fully erased.

feel the same way. I expect a loss tonight fully prepared for it, not even sure i'll watch, might go old school and just lock myself in the basement and listen on the radio.

Ok guys get us in... Use all the powers at your disposal if you have them... My 84 year old pops says he is going to gut out the time and stay up and he wants me to come and watch it with him.. he was over at my house in 2006 when Magglio hit his walk off so maybe we need to be together. ( even though we have had our heat ache of losses in all sports.. I will take my hat, and my shirt and my 4 best bats with me.. Going with my best... Kaline, York, Tram, and sweet Lou bats...

Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!! I will try and get on over at his house...

Verlander with a gem and maybe just maybe the sticks wake up...

Champ's last major league AB was against the Tigers in the '84 World Series.

Well, I feel just like I did after Detroit blew that make-up game against the White Sox to drop to down 3.

Leyland said Doug Fister will be available in Tigers bullpen tonight.

Leyland also said Kelly could be PH candidate for Garcia against Balfour -- if Garcia earlier hit for Berry.

I wish I had your stomach, Mitch. I just won't be able to beat to watch tonight. I'll DVR it and if JV is dominant and they win I'll watch...otherwise I'll just erase it like a computer virus.

Jayson Werth just homered in the bottom of the 9th to keep the Nationals alive. If the Tigers don't move on I don't want the Cardinals too either. Fuck the Cardinals.

my opinion on this years team is that they were/are not good enough to win it all...it's one thing to have bad defense but it's another altogether to have bad defense, a 5-9 that is well below league average, and an erratic bullpen which has been among the bottom third in the league since the all star break and yet here the tigers are looking for an opportunity to move on to the ALCS.

Having rooted for so many shit teams I always feel fortunate to be watching detroit playoff baseball..that does not mean I don't expect a level of success but it lessens the blow if they don't go all the way.

I still don't feel that this is the best team in the majors but you never know...it's been the most bizarre year I can remember and this team can surprise ya for good or bad.

Fister can pitch, but Leyland states obvious: "This game will probably be decided with Verlander in the game. I don't have anybody better."

JV needs to brush coocoo puffs off the plate with his first two.

Screw it I've got some beers left yet I'm just going to go guzzle em all and see if I can pass out before this crap starts up tonight. wish me luck.

I am playing a new game, so I might just forget playing until midnight. The DVR thing is a good idea.
