for myself I think I've grown more immune to the disappointments sports sometimes brings....the stretch of OSU NC and final four disappointments (yes I'm a buckeye fan from Ohio), the tigers my entire life, the pistons one again sucking, the browns leaving and then coming back and sucking worse, and hockey just being a complete trainwreck of late I've just learned to ride out the bad times and enjoy the good times when they come. Lord knows things like last night piss me off but not nearly as much as it used to.

Leyland confirmed all relief roles will be same tonight, meaning Valverde will be Game 5 closer, as expected. Every reliever is available.

and also if Leyland trys to give him the handshake of doom to give smokes a face push, we need JV to have a 125 pitch CG shutout.

I won't be upset if we lose tonight.

I was upset last night. Last nights game was the season more or less, had our foot on someones throat, but could not grind down with the heel.

If we lose tonight it will be because of last night, not tonight, and a position we never should have been in.

I'll be happy if we win, but the bad taste left by last night will probably not be fully erased.

i feel the same. last night the last straw for me emotionally. we had our foot on their throats and fucked it up just like we always do.

Leyland said Doug Fister will be available in Tigers bullpen tonight.

Leyland also said Kelly could be PH candidate for Garcia against Balfour -- if Garcia earlier hit for Berry.

When I was watching the game last night and we took the lead 3-1, I said to myself...it will never happen but if I were Leyland (or any manager) I would actually bring in JV or Fister to pitch the 9th.
