Fister is 4-3 with a 2.77 ERA in nine career starts against the A's and 5-1 with a 2.28 ERA since joining the Tigers.

Spotted at Oakland Coliseum: Jacob Turner throwing a bullpen session. Tigers keeping him fresh for possible work down the stretch.

Talking to some scouts who have watched Tigers recently, biggest impression: How hard Miguel Cabrera is playing.

Probably going to this one. I work in the South Bay and it's not too far a drive up to BART which will take me right there. Just need to score a decent ticket on the walk up, last time I did that I was like 3 rows back from the netting behind home for $40.

Newton, I hope you see the Tigers clinch up close and personal.
The a's don't appear to fill the stadium, so maybe you can move to a closer seat to the Tigers dugout, if it is a better one than where you are planning to purchase one.

Somehow I had a feeling they werent going to pull off 13 in a row and wrap it up last night. The winning streak can stop being talker about. Wrap it up tonight! I wanna buy some bubbly after work.

Uhhh

Don Kelly in the 2 hole.

I'm going to go out and beat my head against a brick for a while.
