Sanchez hammered on 7 runs 7 earned and 10 hits including 3 doubles and 3 homers (2 by Singleton in consecutive ABs)...by the "Lastros" in only 4 IP ...but yeah, I KNOW its still "only" ST...dlol...:ugh:

Well...at least Anibal had the good sense to walk Singleton in his next AB...whoopsie..Sanchez just gave up his second 2 run homer to Castro. Thats 4 total so far today...is the wind blowing out?

9-4 Stros after 5.

Make that 9 runs and 11 hits now. This is looking like a terrible signing already. Maybe because I'm having flashbacks on how we extended a ton of crappy pitchers after the 06' Series which crippled the team for several years after. I'm gonna be pissed if this dude turns into Nate Robertson or Bonderman

Not prepared to panic or get too optimistic on any Tigers' performance during Spring Training.

Just when you thought Verlander's performance against the Astros couldn't be topped, Sanchez comes out and one ups him. This will be the new Royals to the Tigers now that they're in the AL. Count on them to play spoiler this fall. I know its spring training but guys are supposed to be ready for the season now. The scrubs have already been cut. Not the time to start imploding. The fans won't be too kind to Sanchez if he pitches like this after collecting 80 million

Morrison into relieve the carpet-bombed Sanchez in the bottom 6th.Yanno that the ink-stained wretches that report online for the metro area's sports are going to jump all over Anibal's horrific start today...ST or not.

Morrison gets his own case of homeritis from the Astros, giving up Houston's 5th homer of the game...sheesh...this is the team that is supposed to easily lose 100+ this season, if not set a new AL record for losses?

11-4.

Both managers now have have made wholesale changes to a large part of their lineups in the 7th, subbing w/minor leaguers, so this "ballgame" is now over for all intents and purposes, other than to give the youngsters some playing time during the remainder of the game.

Well..at least Anibal won't likely turn into the second coming of the D-Train his being a right-hander...so there's that to hang our Tigers caps on...>:D

"It all starts over next week," Sanchez said. "And I'm ready for it."

"I don't think there was anything in particular," Leyland said. "They just whacked it when it was a decent pitch and they whacked it was a bad pitch."

Umm...yeah...he sure done did demonstrate that he is ready...especially if he is gonna be pitching in a lot of the Tigers' batting practice sessions.

Tuiasosopo went 0 for 2 and is hitless (0-5) ever since he was informed that he made the team.

It's freakin' ST. But we all saw this coming, when Sanchez had a bad ST game or a bad start to the season people will freak out and say bad signing and curse all to hell. Lol.

The only starters I've confident will be consistent is JV and Fister. All up in the air on the rest.
