We looked bad tonight, but man, we have run into a lot of hot pitchers. Watched it at the bar and McCarthy was dealing, he had some sick stuff and you have to give him some credit. I know it's tough to watch, but it seems we've run into an unusual amount of hot pitchers this 1st 5th of the season.

That being said, it sure looks like we lack a game plan at the plate right now.

Also frustrating, our bullpen is terrible!!! What gives, I was excited about our BP. I liked bringing in Dotel, I thought Benoit would be great with Coke, and I thought Valverde would also be good enough. Fister has a 0.54 ERA and is still 0-1. Bummer.

Players with talent but that don't walk, like Young and Boesch, really bother me.

They're just the worst type of player.

Boesch out of nowhere developed a solid approach at the plate and took big strides forward with his defense, and this year he's gone back to being everything he has always been.
