Tigers vs. bluejays Game Thread April 9

Tigers wasting chances again... sigh.. Who is coaching third base again?

Jerkhead Weaver DLed w/broken left elbow?

Fortunately for him, it wasn't his throwing arm, otherwise he might have been out for longer than the expected 4-6 weeks.

sucks. I was hoping he was still pissed at det cause guillen showed him up, for the rematch. would have been fun seeing him getting all riled up again

cmon, miggy! Get hold of one! Aside from that double the other day, you're stuck in a singles funk.

That top 4 in our order is just murder right now. If the guys behind them come alive it's going to be a devastating lineup to have to pitch to.

After Denard threw out that first pitch, he claimed that he would be able to strike out more hitters than Justin Verlander, if the distance from the mound to home plate was 25 feet.

Jim Leedland is teh best maniger in the histery of organized base ball going back to the Elysium Fields. I think he was in that game.

Needed Victor to bust outta his slump, but then he goes and slashes his thumb up but good on a bat-rack...wonder if he did it accidentally by slamming his bat into it out of frustration...eerily similar to how Kaline had long ago:

"In a game in June of 1967, Kaline struck out against Sam McDowell of the Indians. When he returned to the dugout, Kaline angrily slammed his bat into the rack and broke his thumb. He missed 26 games with the injury"

Sanchez is weaving a beauty of a game today. Think he's done now or does he go in for the 7th?
