Tigers vs. bluejays Game Thread August 21

Agreed.

But again, he had no choice, was a great move by Toronto to bring in a Right handed PH.

Which now makes you think we can pretty much never bring Coke in during a tight game as long as the other team has a righty on the bench...which of course they will.

Or only bring him in against a LHB you know wont get PH for.

But it's not like Coke is good against lefties either, at best he's so-so.

Yeah I know. Could Leyland have countered their move with another pitcher? Or once Coke is called upon he has to pitch?

& youkilis hits a fucking grandslam.

man that team is irritating.

they seem to hit hrs at will.

Hard to believe we have a chance to win a game where we've blown endless opportunities like we have tonight.

I think that is the rule...once there is a pinch hitter then the reliever has to face him.

You cannot remove a pitcher from a game who has not yet faced 1 batter.

Except maybe injury.

???

Once Coke came in he has to face a batter, they pinch hit after Coke came on.
Everyone on the planet knew that they would PH for Johnson there. He's absolutely horrible against Lefties. Almost twice as many k's as hits. Just plain bad managing.

Berry got schooled on that one, if we lose this it's going to be a really bad thing.
