Tigers vs. bluejays Game Thread August 22

it matters if we keep playing like this and like we did in the baltimore series. a win is a win, but we could have easily lost this game too. we're playing like shit right now. it needs to improve, fast, if we're going to win the division.

Wrong. A win like tonight isn't any worse than a win of 15-0.

The Tigers are 23-15 since they got to .500. That's the trend that means more to me than any one individual game.

The majority of that was on one hot streak that coincided with BB and DY getting hot. It's amazing when the entire line-up is producing the team is very tough to beat.

The Tigers have had two 5-game winning streaks and a 6-game winning streak in that time frame. They had a 13-2 run and they've won 13 of their last 20, so what hot streak are you referring to?

Every now and then you win when you don't play your best baseball. Every now and then you lose even if you do everything right.

Benoit looks like he's coming around and Potato did well. Those two things right there are huge. Shortens the game.

the 13-2 run. BB hit .363 in that stretch and DY hit .314 with a 10 game hit streak and 4 games in a row that he hit a HR.

The Tigers hitters in August (MLB Ranking):

OPS: #1
SLG: #1
OPB #1
AVG: #2
RBI #4

The bats are basically working.
