Tigers vs. braves Spring Training March 20

JV issues a walk no outs and bases loaded he is scuffling a bit here..meh

IF popup, need a GIDP or at least a K, to try getting out unscathed

nope....bloop single 2 runs score, 3-2 ballgame.

Verlander 3rd inning,

pastornicky 2 quick strikes, ground ball past Fielder's glove single,

bourne waits throw to first, low, again, throw to first, fastball inside, strike call, throw to first and that was close on the dive to bag and tag, runner goes hit and run and grounder past short Peralta was covering second single runner to third,

prado strike call, throw to first, curve is low, bluffs to first, curve on/off the corner, outside, low for a walk,

Avila out to talk with JV,

chipper takes outside, low and Verlander not locating looks frustrated/pissed, popped to first and Raburn calls Prince off and has it,

hinske takes low, hit to left for a 2 run single, first and second,

heyward takes outside, takes low, fly to right Boesch has it runner tags and goes to third,

diaz strike call, chases a curve 0 and 2, again,

JV with his first k,

Tigers lead 3 - 2.

Prince clutch rbi single...Tigers lead 4-2.

As does the hot-hitting Young...5-2 Tigers

Young's 5th inning 2-homer ended the scoring by the Tigers, who win 7-2 vs the Braves, (JV getting the win and ex-Tiger Jurrjens the L) and now improve to 13-2-3 on ST, best in the majors, and remain second in RS, tied for 2nd-lowest in RA, and now are +60 in RD, also best in MLB. They could conceivably surpass three digits in RD at the end of ST, wonder if the club has ever done that before in history, as it seems unlikely.

Tomorrow's 1:00pm afternoon's game of our Tigers vs the Dinks...err..I mean Twinks will also be a TV broadcast, however it will mark the end of ESPN's ST Tigers coverage and first of three broadcasts of (the 2.5 weeks remaining in ST) games by FSN Detroit

Over/under on how soon Rod busts out the "country strong" moniker on Prince Fielder and/or Delmon Young?

;)

Ryan Raburn arguably MVP of Grapefruit League. Told me he asked if there's an award for that. "If there is,"he said,"I don't want it."
