The last time JV threw less than 100 pitches in a game was June 22, 2010 against the Mets. He went 2 IP and gave up 5 ER and threw 61 pitches. We lost 14-6. 2010.

He threw less than 100 pitches last year in the Texas playoff game but that was a rain delay game so I'm not counting that.

Man, where was this Laird 2 years ago?

Leyland made a comment the other day about Laird that was pretty good, I don't remember the exact words but something like he finally realized he's not HR hitter, playing in Texas will do that do you, when he was here the first time it was high fastball after high fastball, he's not doing that this time around and that's a good thing.

It's tim mcclelland calling balls and strikes. called third to Jackson looked off the corner,

lynn with 76 pitches,

Tigers lead 4 - 0.

90 mph changeup belt high to molina and Verlander pissed for leaving the pitch up.

He's a backup, use him only when you need him. However he's a filling in well lately.

Umm, yes I know that.

I mean when he was here 2 years ago he could not hit the ground with his hat, and now he's consistently .290-.300
