4. 1B Prince Fielder

9. 2B Omar Infante

Omar Infante will wear a Tigers uniform tonight for the first time since 2007.

After being acquired from the Marlins in a trade that also brought right-hander Anibal Sanchez to Detroit, Infante will bat ninth and start at second base against the Indians.

Infante, who played for the Tigers from 2002-07, is hitting .287 this season with eight home runs and 33 RBI's, a marked improvement from the .201 average from Tigers second basemen this season.

Right-hander Doug Fister (4-6) takes the mound for Detroit. In his last two starts, both wins, he combined for 15 innings, two earned runs, five hits, two walks and 18 strikeouts to lower his ERA to 4.04.

He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks in 6.2 innings in his lone start vs. the Indians this season (May 23).

Ubaldo Jimenez (8-9, 5.24 ERA) will start for Cleveland. He's generally been successful vs. Detroit this season, posting a 2.84 ERA in two wins. He also pitches better at home (4-3, 3.66 ERA).

Maybe this was already talked about, but what roster changes do people see coming with the acqusition of Infante. Does Raburn or Kelly get dropped? I think Santiago stays because he can back up ss as well, but I think his PT gets cut into significantly.

They already sent Worth. The rest stay imo. Ramon, yes less time. Occasionally at SS when Peralta rests and maybe 1 game a week at 2B is my guess.

Need to get Fielder and Young going They have not hit a HR this half so far.

Avila needs to find a bat with some hits in it as well.
Got to get these games against Cleveland as they have been a thorn in the side this season. So Tigers need to step up there game against the Indians. IE keep this offense going this series!

Power rankings out have the Tigers moving up 10 spots. Good comments on Tiger pitching and Boesch. One thing it did not say is that the Tigers in there 5 wins in there last 5 games was for the first time this season there starting pitchers got the 5 wins. That will be one thing that will change with Turner leaving and Sanchez joining. Is schould that keep going the Tigers will have a different starter there. But still 5 for 5 for the starters is good news for the staff.

Fister tonight says gets some runs and keep that string going.

Shaky start for Fister. Damn these Indians are irritating.

Need a DP...
