I have faith in Ramon as a defensive replacement. I have no faith in Raburn defense anywhere. Just wish Ramon was more consistent offensively because if he was, we wouldn't have an issue/rolling rotation at 2b.

Up 7 I thought the game was pretty much in the bag. What a freaking disgrace to let them climb back in the game. It's ok to win by more than 1 run, arrggh. Least got out of that inning.

It's more than just being afraid or not to throw strikes, RP threw strikes with a 7-0 lead and couldn't get out of the 4th. Nice work by Schlereth there.

As much as i dislike Raburn I think he may have more value then Magglio right now.. But He is a waste of space on the bench.. he can only hit LHP... He cannot field.. Raburn should never see the infield as much as he does. But he could get you a pinch Homer verses a LHP.. Not sure Magglio can do that now days..

Except for a late season surge against LHP, Raburn has done very little with his bat all season, surely nothing to warrant him getting playing time at 2B of all places.

Yes, but go back the last few weeks where from end of July to mid august lost/won 9 or 10 games by 1 run out of a dozen or so. Don't know exactly without looking up.

Magglio has shit range, but handles EVERYTHING that he gets to and still has a great arm.

Raburn has more range in the OF, but who knows if the ball lands in his glove or bounces off his head.

Magglio while not much of a threat is still capable if hitting line drive singes now and again.

Raburn feast or famine, either he gets a big hit, or he wastes AB's.


Magglio needs to retire, Raburn needs to be retired.

Maggs... Unless there was also a man on first because almost an automatic DP

Me too. With the expanded roster, some LH matchups and a once in a while PH situation Maggs still has some value. Raburn is more versatile and has more power but a liability playing every day.
