Tigers vs. indians Game Thread May 22

You listen to these guys in their post game interviews and it's always so subdued and oh wellish like. Need someone on this team and act like they care once in awhile? There is no fire in the belly, no desire, no hunger. Many of them come off as already being spent as if the season as already gone on for months and their already exhausted or something. NO energy. Do they have good whole foods eating habits. Getting enough sleep? You know all the processed food can really drain the energy out of anyone.

Austin Jackson sounding down post game, will shut down activity on Wednesday, how abdominal strain feels Thursday could determine DL or no DL.

Calling up Berry several days after Jackson tweaks abdominal muscle, f'ed up.
After Jackson was scratched before the game, could mean he might need longer to heal up.

This team is f'ed up, not just the construction of it with poor defensive players with minimal range and players that are better suited as DH's, but the head that makes the decisions.

I hate, I really hate piss poor defense, there is absoultely no f'n excuse for poor defense, if you can't hit it's one thing, but to not be able to field a position, means lack of fundamentals, caring, and half assedness.

And other the Jackson it is all over the Diamond...

So when does Leyland get the hook? Somebody has to go down with this ship and you can't release everyone.

And to all you Leyland lovers, i'm not picking on Jimmy, ok? It's just time to go now. This is unexscusable now.

Tigers started out 9-3 and they are now 20-22... What a disaster of a 11-19 stretch verses really poor teams... Tigers need to wake up very soon... DD needs to take a long hard look at the team he put together because right now it is not clicking. Man i hope they turn it around soon...Tigers are about to turn into one of the laughingstocks of the league..

About time they added another batter. I don't like the 12 position players and 13 pitchers thing they always have..

No.

Nobody is even paying attention to the Tigers. Not with NYY, BOS, and PHI in last in their divisions.

1 hot streak is all we need and were in first again easily, I know people are frustrated, especially considering our expectations, but it's not as bad as people think.

The defense is not as bad as people think, though Prince has been disappointing and so has Boesch. It's the hitting (and not just Raburn) that's hurting us, we have 1 maybe 2 players hitting up to or above their averages, and everyone else is below. Boo Raburn if you like, he deserves it, but he deserves some company.

I still think we take the division easily, but maybe I'm just not as paranoid.

I still think we win the division by 7+ games but I am a tad concerned because the team really seems lifeless the last month.. Yes the whole team is not really hitting except a few guys.. We all know it is early but i would hate to see them fall 7-10 games back...

Great thing about baseball, the 162 game schedule. Being in May, 4-5 games is nothing.

After 42 games we were 5 off mostly because Cleveland was much better. 22-20 last season after 42.

Ah, forgot the season started later this year, I was just looking at the date.

Well, on this date last season they were 7 game, I believe that was just after Cleveland swept them.

Either way I'm not too worried. Miggy is starting to hit will, prince was hitting good for awhile. Mostly I worry about Peralta and Avila. They've been stinking it up.

Not worried in the least.

We have so many players drastically underperforming, and no team has been able to gain even a decent lead over us.
