DEEPER DISCUSSIONS.
Totally Tigers
There is no need to review the Detroit Tigers? dismal year, spending most of it in last place. However, since the hiring of Scott Harris as the team?s new President of Baseball Operations, the team went on a winning streak.
They won 11 of their final 16 games. Out of 5 series, they won 4. Two of them were sweeps.
And during that time period, the team ranked #4 in contact rate with 78.4%. For the majority of the year, they ranked at or near the bottom.
What do you believe was the catalyst for this dramatic turnabout?
Were they playing dramatically better because they were concerned about their jobs?
Were they acting as spoilers for the other teams vying for the playoffs?
Were they finally gelling as a team?
Today?s blog addresses this dilemma and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with others by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!
For this one blog only, you?ve got 6 sentences max to share your thoughts.
Of course, you can respond to as many other readers as you want.
TT will supply the ammunition. One thought-provoking question. Several options provided. One hard choice to be selected. One vote.
