mariners had to really want to get a hit off Spencer during this game, having nearly been no-hit again a week ago. Their fans must be wondering WTF is going on with their baseball team, and how many times its gonna happen this season.

OMG What an Incredible Surprise to see this No-Hitter from Spencer Turnbull.

Never in my wildest dreams would I think this would happen especially with them out on the west coast notorious for bad times.

Every once and awhile, I check the YT page that has Galarraga's 28 out PG, and read the comments, b/c even 11 years later, there are new posts on that travesty, that keeps an otherwise unremarkable former MLB pitcher out of the baseball record books.

SPs who throw no-hitters and perfectos get all of the recognition and their names in the record books, but their battery-mates who catch these games get none, which appears to be very unfair.



Turnbull rarely shook off Haase's pitch calls and he deserves our appreciation as well.

giving a catcher credit for a no hitter is similar to giving a father credit for the act of child birth. Sure, the father had something to do with it, but the mother deserves all of the credit.
