Tigers vs. Mariners May 19, 2021 Game 43

Kinda bummed that kluber pitched a no-no so very close to Turnbull's as now sports websites, esp ESPN will be all over his nuts, cuz its a yankees special moment that will last longer in the news, than any other team's SP who has notched one this season. Plus its been over 20 years since the last yankees pitcher tossed one.

It will be just like Turnbull's...one day and on to the next story. That's how the news cycle works. Nothing stays in the headlines very long. Hell, the Kluber No-no is already down to #6 on the top headline list on ESPN.com

Virtually every post which I've read you make here on DSF, is a retort in reply to someone else's.

that simply isn't true ;)

However, I do comment or "retort" to other posts very often. Isn't that the point of a discussion? I mean, if you post something I agree with I typically just read it and move along. What should I do...post, "yes, I agree with that statement" to every post I read?

Never knew that "discussions" mean disagreements and disputes...but hey...that's SOP here on DSF for some members, and might have something to do with why it is increasingly looking like a ghost-town site.

Agree with anyone?

What's the fun in that, eh?

Or...perish the thought...expand upon it.

I have read plenty of posts that I don't necessarily agree with, but I tend to pass most of them up, unless I"ve been actively involved in the discussion with that member or members already.

Oh..and I don't by-line my profile with a comment from another member in an attempt to show everyone how dumb I think that he is.

ESPN free since 2010.

to each their own. That's what I like about this forum...we can pretty much do what we want.

Yeah, makes me wonder why this site still has 4 mods and a forum manager.

Overkill by two.

I think the 4 mods = about 20% of the active posters we have on this site. Not many posters here anymore.

There are FIVE major league teams with a team batting average above .250
League averages thru 5/19/2021:
236/312/393
8.9 BB%
24.1 K%

DET Hitting
224/292/357 Season #26/30
wRC+ 82

262/345/375 May #6/30
wRC+ 105
9.7 BB%
26.0 K%

April #30/30
199/257/345
6.9 BB%
30.6 K%

major growth taking walks and hitting..yet they also have a .349 BABIP in May..#1 in MLB..so batted ball luck always helps.

DET Starting Pitching ERA

3.47 May #9

May K/9 has jumped up to 8.40
SEA has helped..but..still..good job..Chris Fetter/AJ Hinch.
