Tigers vs. nationals Spring Training March 18

Leyland has brought minor-leaguers on Friday-Sunday road trips. Best of the bunch, so far: shortstop Dixon Machado. Two great plays. Triple.

I'm kind of expecting Leyland and Tigers to send some players to the minor league camp post game to early next week by Tuesday.
thoughts? about right or too soon?

Two Ks, two doubles, one groundout one run scores, Tigers win their 12th game by a "dicey" score of 11-7 with 1 L and 3 ties.

Can't complain at all about that ST record, as non-indicative of the impending regular seasons as ST records are often known to be.

With ~two weeks left of ST remaining afterward...maybe during the middle of the week?

This game is what it is a spring training outting. Runs,Hits, and Bench players all game long.
Really thoe with 16 runs on the board only 6 pitchers have been in the game so far. As I type Washington brings in a new arm.

Tigers used 17 position players + 5 pitchers,

nationals used 15 position players + 5 pitchers.

Tigers refuse to lose...beat Nationals, 11-7 in Viera.
Tigers now 12-1-3 this spring...
5 Runs in 5th off Chad Durbin blew game open for Tigers.

Offensive highlights: Jackson hit ball hard 3 times, 1-3 w/ 2RBI, Laird 2-3 w/RBI, Thomas 2-3 with SF, HR, 3RBI. Cabrera 2-2, Dirks 2-2.

Fister started for Tigers, K'd 7 in 4IP, gave up 1ER on 5H.
Below followed, K'd 3 in 2IP, but gave up 3ER on 5H+BB.

Ortega and Schlereth pitched scoreless inn. each, Hoffman K'd 2 to start 9th, then gave up back-to-back doubles for final run.

Dan Dickerson

How did Below do? I was too busy with fantasy draft to listen though I know someone made an error while he was pitching.
