Tigers vs. orioles Game Thread July 15

Gotta get Thome out this inning.

Justin has to be Thome's favorite pitcher.

he'd be 3-3 if not for that well positioned shift. Ramon throws him out from right field.

Just found this stat;
With his leadoff HR, Austin Jackson extended his run scoring streak to 12 games, the longest by a Tiger since Rocky Colavito in 1961.

Dan and Jim talked about that for quite a while earlier, then kinda went off track and talked about the Kuenn-Colavito trade.

Batting Champ for the Home run champ. Kuenn was a favorite of mine as a kid, and I was disappointed they traded him, but Rocky produced, and all was forgotten/forgiven.

Colavito just couldn't stop complaining and ragging on GM Jim Campbell and also at Kaline, that was when they had enough and traded him.

Boesch came into today hitting .091 (1 for 11) when placed in the No. 5 hole,
and .154 (2-for-13) as DH.
He's 2-for-4 today.

Nice bunt Little Buddy, Okay, now Donnie...in the air to center or right please.

8th inning number of pitches would be key imo,
but who's available after yesterday? Villarreal, anyone else?

BV is who I would go with even if Valverde is available.

give them someone they have never faced.
