Tigers vs. orioles Spring Training March 15

Verlander's velocity range today: 95-74. Looked like a slider or two mixed in there at 80 mph.
Verlander 7 K's.. Apparently Chavez HR DID annoy him.
update, Gameday has JV at 8 k's 3 hits...
Balester pitching.

Cabrera charges the ball and makes an outstanding running throw.

Since those ads are helping pay for Prince Fielder, I can get over it :)

Verlander's day is done after 3.2 innings -- 8 of the 11 outs were strikeouts, 1 was caught stealing...not much in play.
All the strikeouts ran up JVs pitch count. Verlander done for the day. 8k 3h 1ER 3 2/3 IP.

Thats it for JV today, out for Balester in the 4th with two outs and a runner (Johnson) on third, Colin gets Paulino on a grounder to third.

Cabrera with a sweet back-hand stab and rivet to first on Ronny Paulino. Only real hitch at 3B so far has been, no surprise, when he moves.

wth, tigers finally put the best lineup on the field all spring with jv pitching and no media coverage whatsoever. I woulda traded the tv coverage of that det philly game for this anyday.

Where are you getting all of this extracurricular game info from KC, if I may not be too bold to ask?

Thanks, I thought that it might be from following tweets from scribes @ the game.

Tigers with no runs on 4 hits through 5, their "juggernaut" now being replaced, got a bit mired in matusz' muck...meh.

Maybe he's saving his new swing until the regular season :) . Even if he just cut down to 120 K's it'd be a big improvement.

Don't look now, but Leyland's scrubby scrappies are putting a rally together...heh.

Left the game to watch Cabrera take ground balls at 3B on the back fields. Excellent work ethic.
