It’s getting close to the point in the season where if it looks like it’s going to continue – and the longer it goes on the more it looks like it’s going to continue, duh? – That I need to get a satellite receiver installed in my car so I can listen to tigers games while I am driving around on the job.

I have one on my phone, but I need the audio On various apps to operate my business.

So I can’t use the receiver on my handheld.

This is the first time the Tigers have hit 4 home runs in the 1st inning of a game since July 29, 1974 against the Indians.
Kaline, Freehan, Mickey Stanley, Ed Brinkman.

The Tigers have hit 4 home runs in an inning for the first time since the 4th inning on June 1, 2013 at Baltimore (Martinez, Peralta, Avila, Cabrera).

According to Elias Sports, the 1st inning of today's game marked the first time the Tigers have hit 4 HRs before recording an out. The last MLB team to do so was Kansas City on 5/8/18 at Baltimore.

Miguel Cabrera hits career home run No. 481, a two-run shot. With the two RBI, Cabrera now has 1,700 in his career, passing Jim Thome (1,699) for 24th place in MLB history.

Tigers have scored double-digit runs in back-to-back games for first time since June 2-3, 2017 vs. White Sox. They faced Derek Holland in one of those games, too.

Gregory Soto has allowed one hit in 7.2 innings this year. His WHIP is 0.26.
