Tigers vs. pirates Game Thread June 23

Come on Alex, we need to score at least 1 more run this inning.

new pitcher,

Fielder doubles to left center,

Young gets buzzed up and in, fastball low and away, of course low and away swings and misses, check swing ball high, popped foul full count, fouled back, grounder to short,

new pitcher,

Avila ground ball to second Fielder takes third,

need a base hit here,

Peralta drives it to deep left center and caught at the fence, F.

This team has no luck this year at all... Last year that ball was gone...Sure sounded good..

anyone see the short interview Leyland announces that Boesch and Young need to hit. He rarely calls out players by name until right before something happens, benched, demoted, or traded.

Well Cabrera and Fielder will each get 1 more AB, hopefully someone else can try to get on base.

He also said Peralta.

What he doesn't realize is Peralta is right in line with his career numbers, so we shouldn't be expecting much more out of him.

His .341 OBP would sure look good at 2nd instead of Boesch's sub .300, but as we all know Leyland can't organize a lineup for shit.

It amazes me that this team has somehow managed to keep this streak of not being shutout going. Reminds me a lot of Valverde last year with his save streak.

thanks guys, must have been a pregame or something else on DetroitFox?

It really is stupid not to even try JP in the 2 hole... Considering his obp...
