Tigers vs. pirates Game Thread June 24

Could have been a run maybe is Ajax had not tried to steal.

Leaving runs on the bases again. This team figures out more ways to not score runs.

I wonder if the 2nd baseman would have been playing Miggy a little more straight up if it was runners on 1st and 2nd? But then maybe Miggy just aims for a different hole?

Is this game on ESPN or something?

No video highlight of Berry 2-run shot yet.

Yeah, it was a hindsight thought, just frustrated that we still have a hard time scoring runs, even against a certified scrub like Correia.

To be fair, that is the 1st time Jackson has been caught stealing this year.

Before Jackson was caught stealing, pirates catcher threw out 4 runners and given up 52 stolen bases.

pirates announcers saying Fielder had a good chance throwing out runner going to second.

Verlander must have been saying for him to go to first....he was right behind him. In fact it looked like JV was almost trying to block his throw attempt to 2nd. Fielder turned and looked but then took the sure out at 1st.

I watched it again on tivo...JV was absolutely standing in his way. He couldn't have thrown it to 2nd even if he wanted to do it.

The Pirate's hitters cannot get a handle on JV's pitches today, he has them hacking and whacking and the only 2 hits are infield singles. He's not going for the big strike out game today and his pitch count is at 32 thru 3.

Sickening what we are doing at the plate!!! This pitcher has nothing and we don't have the patience to work the count and get this guy to throw them over the plate.

McCutcheon is a great player, but pissing me off.

and Peralta has no luck.
