i think that guy was 1 for his last 20 before that, geesh...Jv's got a bit more fine tuning to work out I guess, gawd that was horrible

ERA jumped to 3.17. I am shocked by those last two bad pitches. Ahead 0-2 and 1-2 and he hangs two pitches right down the middle.
 
Well hopefully this one of those turning points we'll look back on later in the year as something that focused him and made him go on a dominant run.
 
Verlander's ERA jumped from 1.93 (9th in MLB) to 3.17 (44th).
2.2 IP, 6H, 8ER, 2BB (both with bases loaded, 3 K, 1 HR.

And I didn't even know they were the two starting pitchers until I turned on the game tonight!!!
 
Had a bad feeling about this game, but kept my fingers off the keyboard.
Still early but the BP will have to do what Verlander couldn't.
