Get StartedWinning that game would have been quite the feather in the Tigers cap, and if JV had instead pitched a gem, it would have vaulted him into the forefront of the Cy race. Now he will have to be nearly flawless for several months to even get back into consideration. Meltdowns like this makes me much more apprehensive about how Justin would pitch in the potential postseason. But now that the pressure to be baseball's "best" SP has greatly lessened, maybe he should take advantage of it and just pitch more relaxed by knowing that he would have a long uphill battle. He doesn't have to be MLB's "ace of aces" anymore, just needs to be the Tigers' ace.
